William Land Golf Course Welcomes Curt David as New Head Golf Professional

Class A PGA Professional Curt David Accepts Head Golf Professional Position at William Land Golf Course in Sacramento, CA.

On March 31, 2020, William Land Golf Course PGA Golf Professional Tyler Brown accepted a General Manager Position at Cold Springs Golf and Country Club in Placerville, CA. We wish Tyler all the best in his new position. He was extremely popular by the local players and his performance while serving several positions with Morton Golf has been top-notch.

When Brown left, Bill Dixon, the Haggin Oaks Golf Super Shop Manager, temporarily filled in as the interim Manager for William Land Golf Course for several weeks until Morton Golf was able to fill the position permanently. Morton Golf is extremely proud to announce the hiring of Class A PGA Professional Curt David as the new Head Golf Professional at the William Land Golf Course effective immediately. Curt David has an extensive background:

  • B. S. Business Administration degree from the University of Pacific
  • Diploma from the San Diego Golf Academy
  • 1992 Began career as the Assistant Golf Professional, La Contenta Golf Club
  • 1995 Head Golf Professional, Cherry Island Golf Course
  • 1998 Director of Golf, Ancil Hoffman Golf Course
  • 2004 Golf Operations Manager, University of California, Berkeley
  • 2010 Head Golf Professional, Mather Golf Course

Curt David has been a very popular golf professional in the Sacramento region for over 20 years. His education, experience, and facility management skills are superb. When asked in the interview process why he wanted the position at William Land, he said, “I have lived next to William Land Park for many years and believe the William Land Golf Course is a Sacramento gem golf facility for public golf. It is literally a walk in the park with so many beautiful trees and serves every type of golfer from beginners to single-digit handicappers. It is full of history since the 1920s. I want to get involved with the golfers who play there and give it the reputation and popularity it deserves.”
